Porcello Advised to Retaliate?

This week, former Tigers pitcher Kyle Farnsworth was suspended 3 games for throwing behind Red Sox slugger Manny Ramirez. Retaliation in baseball is common for the most part, and I am fine with it as long as a pitcher doesn’t throw at a guy’s head.

Friday night, the Flying Tigers had a no-hitter going into the 8th inning. Tampa’s James Cooper bunted for a hit breaking up the no-no. While Cooper’s actions seem somewhat dirty, I really see no problem with this - the batter just has to know that there will likely be some form of retaliation.

That retaliation came the next night, as he was beaned with a Porcello fastball in his first at-bat. Now I strongly believe that Porcello has nothing to do with the whole situation - I imagine he was advised to do so. Regardless, you can check out the video here:
