Record: 8-9
3.0 Games Back
Third Place
Not great, but certainly not the horrible start Lakeland got off to last season. Outside of some shaky infield defense and a road-heavy schedule, this has been a good start to the season. The team is 7th in the pitching-heavy league with a 3.62 ERA and 9th in runs scored. […]

Porcello Advised to Retaliate?

Saturday, April 19th, 2008

This week, former Tigers pitcher Kyle Farnsworth was suspended 3 games for throwing behind Red Sox slugger Manny Ramirez. Retaliation in baseball is common for the most part, and I am fine with it as long as a pitcher doesn’t throw at a guy’s head.

On the […]

Two Weeks In

Monday, April 14th, 2008

The season is two weeks old, and the Flying Tigers tied with Tampa and Ft. Meyers for third place with a 5-6 record. Not bad considering they’ve only had 3 home games so far.

Not a good weekend

Monday, April 14th, 2008

Busy, busy weekend, sorry for the absence. I’m going to avoid any Detroit Tiger references, for obvious reasons, and just say that the Flying Tigers did not have a good weekend while losing 3 of their last 4. Porcello pitched another good game giving up just one earned run, his first of the year, on […]
