Francisco Cruceta
By Deran | April 10, 2008
The Detroit Tigers had hoped Francisco Cruceta would be an important stopper in their bullpen this year. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to receive a visa from the Dominican Republic. Yesterday, he finally received his Visa. He is finally free to join the organization. He is scheduled to report to Lakeland in the next day or two and will work out here until he is ready to pitch in game competition. It is not known yet if he will pitch for the Flying Tigers or one of the other affiliates, But the Tigers have 30 days to evaluate him, after which they will decide to either add him to the 25-man roster or outright him.
