4-05-08 HOME OPENER: Clearwater Threshers @ LFT

Tonight, the Clearwater Threshers come to town for the Lakeland Flying Tigers home opener! Game time is a 6 p.m. and there will be fireworks after the game, as is the case with all Saturday home games.
Pitching matchups have yet to be posted, but I will report back after the game with pictures and a recap.

Awesome game last night, as an opening day crowd of 1,031 watched the Flying Tigers beat the Threshers by a score of 5-4. Ed Clelland notched his first win of the year in 2.2 innings of relief and Freddy Dolsi recorded his first save of the year with a near-perfect 9th.
The red-hot Scott Sizemore led the offensive attack, again, by going 3 for 3, including a double and a walk. Down 2-1 in the 6th, Justin Justice jacked a 2-run bomb to right field to put the Flying Tigers ahead for good. Brandon Timm also added 2 hits and a RBI.
