Tata hates doors
By Deran | March 11, 2008
This isn’t extremely relevant to the Detroit Tigers or the Lakeland Flying Tigers, but I thought I needed to discuss it anyhow. RHP Jordan Tata, slated for Toledo’s rotation with a slim chance at seeing some time in Detroit this summer, was not having a particularly good spring.
And it just got worse.
After Friday’s meltdown on the mound, Jordan went into the clubhouse and punched a door, suffering a break around the base of the pinky finger on his pitching hand. Woops. He saw a hand specialist on Monday to determine just how bad he screwed up.
As an aside, he now thinks all of his pitching struggles this spring may be due to a bum shoulder. He also plans to have that checked out.
This hasn’t been a good spring for Jordan. Hopefully he heals quickly because the Tigers, and their lack of pitching depth, just may need him this summer.
