Shirley Duncan is a punk

By Deran | March 13, 2008

In 2004, Tampa Yankee first baseman Shirley Duncan started a brawl by abusing a much smaller Lakeland Tigers second baseman Anderson Hernandez.

Yesterday, he did it again. This time to Rays second baseman Akinori Iwamura, instigating yet another brawl.

I’ll be the first to admit, I love a good brawl. But Shirley is 6′5″ and he keeps bullying little 5′9″ second basemen. Pretty lame if you ask me. He is certainly living up to his girly name. Call him Shelley if you want. I like Shirley better.

3 game suspension to be served during regular season play. Should have been 30!

Shelley said that it wasn’t intentional. They should have let Gomes beat the heck out of him, Shirley is nothing more then a goon.
