My Tigers Tryout
By Kyle | March 3, 2008
Growing up, playing sports professionally was always a dream of mine. However, the stark reality of this dream never happening set in at about the age of 12. I now have other plans for my life, but I always wondered what it would feel like to set foot on the grass that the pros play on. Chances are, some of you have shared these thoughts as well.
After a sub-par softball season in an underachieving men’s league, I will be trying out for the Detroit Tigers here in Lakeland, Florida tomorrow. Just swinging a bat that says Detroit Tigers or running to first base will be satisfying enough. Cobb, Kaline, Trammell, Pudge, and Kyle. I’m liking the sound of this. Of course, I have no chance of actually making the team, but I hope to be able to describe the process in detail for all of you fine blog readers. Thank you for an excuse to make my way out to Tigertown tomorrow. To be continued…
