Off-topic: I wanted to take the time to give a salute to a few fellow Tigers fans who will be following the organization from overseas this summer.
From motownsports.com, “Mancity09″ is about to head over to Iraq for his first tour of duty, and “Beek_27″ has been over there since last May. Also, Lakelander and fellow Flying Tigers fan Sgt. William “Paul” Stephenson has been in Iraq since last June.
I wish you and every other member of the U.S. Military the best and am hoping for safe returns, and I especially thank you for your service!

Some of our greatest baseball players took time to serve in WW2! I salute all military members and look forward to safe returns, but also know that some will not come home alive..To all the motownsports fans, good luck and come home safe! keep up the good work!
